Arts and culture

Paris offers an outstanding range of exciting arts and culture venues and things to do:
- The Cathedral of Notre Dame
- The Louvre Museum
- The Musée d’Orsay museum of 19th century art
- The Eiffel Tower
- The Pompidou Centre
- The Institut du Monde Arabe (Institute of the Arabic World)
- The City of Science and Industry

Business districts

The historical heart of Paris is devoted to the city’s art and culture. Business venues are therefore mostly outside the Paris city limits in whole districts dedicated to business and industry.
The Paris-La-Défense business district dominates the world of business in and around Paris. The Parc des Expositions exhibition centre at the Porte de Versailles in southern Paris hosts cultural and trade fairs, e.g. Salon du Prêt-à-porter (Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show), the Batimat International Building Trade Fair, the Salon de la Lingerie, the Salon du Chocolat, the French Boat Show, the Salon de l’Agriculture, and the Paris Book Fair (Salon du Livre).
